About Laquimah

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Laquimah VanDunk studied at Dekalb School of the Arts, Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, Austin Peay State University, and University of Utah Graduate Studies in Modern Dance. She has performed and toured in work by David Dorfman Dance and Betsy Miller Dance Projects american / woman. Her choreography has been shown in Tennessee, Salt Lake City, Kunst-Stoff Arts in San Francisco, Chez Bushwick in Brooklyn, New York, Arizona State University, Bates College, Bates Dance Festival and Middlebury College. Laquimah currently navigates the world as an Army wife, Director of Mentorship for the Bates Dance Festival Young Dancers Workshop, an Introduction to African American Studies instructor and as a Company Manager for a touring Dance Competition. www.lvddance.com
