About Chelsie

Chelsie McPhilimy is a lighting and projection designer, splitting her time between the Midwest and the East Coast. Her work has been seen from New York City to Abu Dhabi and her research focuses on the integration of innovative technologies into performance and the nature of performance as a collaborative artform. She has been honored to work with many fantastic organizations including the Bates Dance Festival, Movement of the People Dance Company, New Victory Theater, Detroit Opera, New York Theatre Workshop, Flint Institute of Music, and the Santa Fe Opera. When not designing, Chelsie serves as an Assistant Professor of the Practice at the Wesleyan University Department of Dance, helping to mentor the next generation of performing artists.  For more information, please visit cmlightingdesign.com.
