About Lindsay
Lindsay Hancock (Development Associate) works as a development consultant providing grant research and writing and other fundraising services to nonprofit arts, education, cultural and conservation organizations in Maine, including the Bates Dance Festival and the Bates College Museum of Art. Prior to working independently, Lindsay held management positions in
development at the Maine College of Art, the Spannocchia Foundation, the Center for Cultural Exchange, Figures of Speech Theatre and Portland Stage Company, among others. A graduate of Colby College with a degree in fine arts, Lindsay has been a practicing artist for forty years in addition to her professional life in nonprofit administration. Lindsay lives in Gray, Maine with her husband Bill and currently serves as a trustee for Maine Island Trail Association and the Maine Academy of Modern Music.
